FAQ
Question: Why do I need a sewer pressure test?
Answer: Any transfer of a home connected to the Meyersdale Municipal Authorities sewage system will require pressure testing. These tests are now required per recommendation of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Question: What does pressure testing cost?
Answer: This will vary based on the amount of preparation time needed on site to set up for the pressure test. Please call to discuss further.
Question: What happens if I fail my pressure test?
Answer: A failed pressure test means that there is a leak somewhere in your sewage system, but in general, it is due to very old terracotta sewage lines, it is nearly impossible to pass a pressure test with these sewer lines. New sewage lines would need to be installed in your home out to the hook up at the road.
Question: When should I have my furnace cleaned?
Answer: Furnaces should be cleaned yearly, whether they are oil, natural gas, or propane. Failing to keep up with the cleaning will only lead to more costly repairs and inefficient heat. Not to mention a higher probability of the system failing in the cold months when you need it the most.
Question: What can I expect if I hire you to replace my sewer lines?
Answer: You can expect high quality work, done right, and for a reasonable price. When I leave the job site, the only thing left is for the grass to grow. You can expect your house and landscape to look as good as possible.
Question: Can I contact you if I have an emergency on a weekend or holiday?
Answer: Absolutley, I know that things can happen. I do have a personal life outside of the job, but I have always gone out of my way to help however I can. Keep in mind though, weekend and after hours *unscheduled* jobs will have a higher than normal service fee.
